Major: Business Administration with an Emphasis in General Business

Mathieu is entering his Junior year at University of Northern Colorado, and is excited to serve as Student Ambassador for Monfort College of Business. He is originally from Benin, a country located in West Africa, and has been living in Greeley for  four years already. In his spare time Mathieu likes to play soccer, hangout with friends, or go on drives with his favorite music playing. 

Memorable Experience: The first experience I could recall is when I was first coming to America. In fact, that was my first trip outside of my country ever. I cannot imagine that I traveled 24 hours all the way from my hometown, all by myself, no family, no friends to be this far from my siblings. This was the scariest things someone could ever do, but since it didn't kill me, it makes me strong. Today, I am grateful that I achieved some goals so far even though I am still working hard to get better. The second thing I could recall is my first semester at UNC as a sophomore. I was so proud of myself for finally being part of this big community because I always dream to come to UNC since I was at the community college. My first year was nice, and I felt like I am at home because I was part of Aims2UNC program, and they gave us a campus tour and showed us some resources before we got here. This is also a great alliance UNC has with other community colleges to facilitate students' transition.
