Short/Summer/Winter Options

UNC and MCB offers short programs – ranging from a few weeks to a month.   Usually, these options are offered during the summer.  For more specific information contact Prof. James Reardon (james.reardon@unco.edu).

Winter/Interim Session

No MCB programs are being offered for Interim 2018, but programs are being developed for Interim 2019.  Please come back for more information.

Summer 2019 – formal schedules have not been completely finalized, but here is what is in the planning

Faculty–Led Programs usually consist of taking BA 460 and/or BA415.  Both of these are MCB business electives.

  • BA 460 – Fundamentals of Modern International Trade and Business Law: Exploration of International Law and its Organizational Systems

  • BA460 – Internet of Things - Italy

A two week course that teaches you how to build IoT products and services in a simple and user friendly method. Everything will be built from scratch and there are no prerequisites for this course. The participants will be provided with all the physical tools required for building their projects on IoT. A kit will contain WiFi IoT Development Board, Sensors, Actuators and access to the Cloud Platform.


 MCB Courses abroad – each summer we offer several of our regular MCB courses overseas.  These courses are typically offered in a 2-3 week format with other students from MCB as well as students from the local partner university.  We hope to have several classes offered this summer in Trieste Italy and Vilnius Lithuania.  Here is what is tentatively planned:

Brewing Minor Study Abroad option

Study abroad in London in July 2019.  The study abroad comes with a 3-credit hour course (directed studies) that can be earned in History, Chemistry, or Recreation/Tourism/Hospitality.  There are no pre-reqs for the trip (you just have to be 18+).  We will be visiting lots of pubs, breweries, a maltings, and a hop farm during the visit.  If any of your students are interested in how the pubs are operated in London.  Contact
