Gerald "Shad" Shadwick

Gerald "Shad" Shadwick came to the College of Business in 1995 and was Associate Dean from 2001 - 2005. Much of the credit for the Monfort College of Business's receipt of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award goes to Shad. He was the first to suggest that Baldrige principles could make the College a better business program. His focus on performance excellence and countless hours spent on the Baldrige application and examination process were key to bringing home the award and national prominence.

Whether in his position as president of Bank One-Greeley or as an executive professor, Shad was a force for enhancing student learning opportunities and advancing the College's reputation. As bank president he shepherded major financial gifts to the College. As associate dean he directed the Monfort Executive Professor program, bringing renowned executives to campus to speak to students and the Greeley business community. He single-handedly built the College's Dean's Leadership Council into a world-class team of business professionals focused on improving the quality of management education at Monfort.

The College is indebted to Shad for his ongoing commitment to the College and its mission of delivering excellence in undergraduate business education.
