Cheryl Wenzinger
Cheryl Wenzinger graduated from UNC in 1972, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management-Accounting and was named UNC’s Outstanding Accounting Graduate and Colorado’s Outstanding Woman Accounting Graduate.
She had an exemplary career in the public accounting profession, spending her entire 30-year career in Denver with the firm Touche Ross (now Deloitte). In 1985, she became the first female partner in the Denver office. Cheryl received numerous awards and recognition over the years for her leadership roles.
Cheryl has continuously given back to UNC’s Monfort College of Business in many ways. She led a fundraising effort to create the Allen McConnell Endowed Chair in Accounting, named for her mentor, which came to fruition in 2017 when the first chair was appointed. She served on the UNC Foundation Board of Directors from 2006-18, was President of the Colorado Society of CPAs and also served on the Board of Directors for Banner Health and Food Bank of the Rockies, among many others.
