Entrepreneurship Minor

Creating opportunities for innovative business development and entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship Program at the Monfort College of Business is the program for aspiring student entrepreneurs who are Business majors at the University of Northern Colorado.

  • Your course work is customized to fit your unique interests and career plans.
  • You get exceptional mentoring through personal and professional development.
  • Through the course work in this minor, you can test an idea and its viability as a new venture start-up.
  • You get broad exposure to the functional areas of entrepreneurship and business planning strategies.

If you'd like to seek admission to an Entrepreneurship minor, you must be a business major in good academic standing with both the Monfort College of Business and the University of Northern Colorado.

Student Business Incubator

This is a program is designed to foster the successful development of a student’s entrepreneurial company. The program, in partnership with the Weld County and Northern Colorado Small Business Development Center, offers an array of business support resources and services.

The Monfort College of Business Entrepreneurial Challenge
An annual competition and event that attracts business plan entries from the Northern Colorado community. For more information visit mcb.unco.edu/e-challenge

Transfer Credit. Students may transfer a maximum of 6 semester credits with a "BA" prefix toward the minor from other institutions.

To graduate with an Entrepreneurship Minor, a student must attain a 2.0 or greater cumulative business GPA and attain at least a "C-" grade in each individual course required for the Entrepreneurship Minor.
