Collegiate Division

The Collegiate Division of the Entrepreneurial Challenge is a completely free, zero-risk competition where students can create a business plan, pitch said business to a panel of judges, receive expert feedback and grow as entrepreneurs. Our Collegiate Division creates an entrepreneurial culture at the University of Northern Colorado by encouraging students from all disciplines to participate in our events while placing a heavy focus on education. Students will also have a chance to win cash rewards to help propel their academic and entrepreneurial journey forward.

The collegiate competition is open to students enrolled at the University of Northern Colorado in addition to any Colorado community college. Students may participate as an individual or as a team of two to five eligible students. Students who simply have a business idea or an existing business are encouraged to apply.

“Impossibly Possible is an idea for a fast-food, plant-based restaurant that offers drive-thru service at an affordable price. Not only is the food sold convenient and delicious, but it is also healthy and better for the environment. The food is more vigorous and has a lower ecological footprint compared to traditional fast-food chains because there would be no animal products within the menu. Customers can eat guilt-free knowing their food is sourced locally from the freshest ingredients and served with values that encompass the passion of caring for our bodies as well as the planet.”

“Using the latest AI technologies and health tracking features (such as heartbeat and oxygen level sensors) integrated in most smartphones and watches, Ava builds a profile of the user and then engages with them, learns about them, discovers what is causing the illness and then creates a database of how the users feelings have varied through the day. All of this information would then be processed and Ava would offer the necessary remedies and would help the user.”

“Zue will be an online store for people who like to shop for artistic clothing items and prints. Here they will find their items and get to know the artists behind the work. Everything on the site will only be available through Zue. The behind the scenes includes collaborations with the artists to place their work on prints and items such as sweatshirts. The incentive for these artists will be the ability to sell their items without dealing with the background process & most importantly, there will be more exposure for their work. The online store will work as a hub where art lovers find new artists. These artists do not need an extensive resume, they simply have to show their work, artistic abilities, and willingness to collaborate.”
