Kenneth P. Cook

Ken Cook came to the University of Northern Colorado on a baseball scholarship in 1976, and left in 1980 with a dual degree in Marketing and Finance. He began his career as an underwriter with State Farm Insurance Companies, and attended night classes to earn an MBA from the College of Business.

During his career with State Farm, Cook worked in Florida and Illinois, returning to Greeley in 1998 as vice president of operations, overseeing the auto insurance division of the company in a six-state zone.

He serves on the College's Dean's Leadership Council and is chair of the University of Northern Colorado Foundation. In addition, he has been instrumental in building a strong philanthropic relationship between the College of Business and State Farm Insurance Companies.

He taught an organizational behavior class at the Monfort College of Business, hiring three of his students at State Farm. He also serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association and volunteers with the United Way.

The Monfort College of Business is proud to honor Ken Cook for his professional achievements, contributions and support over the past 28 years.
