Members of the Academy of Business Education have unanimously elected University of Northern Colorado Monfort College of Business Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs Sharon Clinebell president-elect of the national organization. Clinebell is also a professor of management at the college. She will serve as president of the organization in academic year 2013-2014.
The multi-disciplinary association is dedicated to enhancing the teaching of business education and improving the learning environment through educational research, curriculum development and faculty development. It also publishes the Journal of Academy of Business Education.
Clinebell said, "I am honored to be elected president-elect of this wonderful organization. The mission of the Academy of Business Education aligns well with the Monfort College of Business’ student-oriented mission. ABE brings together business faculty who are interested in teaching and in providing the best educational experience for business students."
“We are proud of this and the many accomplishments of Professor Clinebell,” said Don Gudmundson, dean of the college. “Our faculty are very involved in the leadership of professional organizations, which serves to enhance our student experience, as well.”
