Collaborative Research in Organizations
This series will explore the book: Collaborative Research in Organizations by Adler, Shani, and Styhre (editors). The purpose(s) of this series is to develop a common understanding of collaborative research and how it can be applied to help our real world research efforts at the Monfort College of Business. Each meeting will identify and discuss key points from the book and how to apply the key points to our individual and collective research efforts.
Potential topics include:
Common frameworks for conducting collaborative research
Common means of communicating with practitioners
Collaborative approaches to met the needs of both practitioners and researchers
Competitive advantage v. generalizable conclusions
Developing a collaborative “community” of learners
Reading Assignments:
Prior to each session there will be a reading assignment. Each participant will read the section(s) assigned and identify the main points for discussion.

Each discussion will be facilitated by a different faculty member. The faculty volunteers are: Sharon Clinebell, John Grant, Keiko Kranke, John Latham, Milan Larson, and Roger Maddocks.
